The breadbox or straw basket of the tuscan farming tradition lives on even today in the hands of master basket makers since more or less 1800. Courses in basketmaking can still be found in various parts of our region. When we decided to offer as one of our services the “light lunch,” it only made sense to pick the basket as the fitting container ! Convenient, ecological, and at the same time authentic.A lunch counter located in the external court in front of the restaurant offers a selection of high quality products, the result of our intimate contact with local producers… from salamis and cheeses to tomato soup and the tuna of the Chianti. Every day feel free to select based on your taste and your choices will be served in certified eco containers. In our memories of childhood the “panierino” is linked to lunch on the meadow, to the picnic with the square patterned tablecloth ! You may enjoy the products of the panierino comfortably in your dwelling, in the external common spaces, or in the spacious open air garden, as per the tuscan tradition ! Buon appetito !

The “Taverna del Romitorio” is delighted to have you as our guests for dinner from 19.30 onward and for breakfast beginning at 08.30.
Light lunch is served from 12.00 until 14.00. It’s asked that one makes reservations.
Monday and Tuesday the restaurant is closed in the evening; breakfast and lunch are served daily.
